Summary

You’re an artist making work who’s ready to finally use your social media accounts to help you show and sell your art. You’ve heard so many stories about how Instagram and Facebook are helping artists do impressive things that you’re ready to figure it out for yourself.
You love sharing your work, selling it and having it exhibited, and you feel like now’s the time to see what social media can do for you.
But, with SO many platforms out there and ALL of the options that exist, you feel overwhelmed by the thought of figuring out how to make it work for you. Knowing what to post and when can feel scary because you don’t want to come off as self-serving or like an amateur. You’re worried about how to get followers and how to translate that into sales. You feel like you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to sell your work. If only you knew the right things to post, you’d feel like you were getting somewhere—somewhere that leads to shows, sales and getting the recognition your work deserves.

Do any of these sound familiar?
You wonder how some artists are selling work on social media when your work feels way better.

You want your work to look amazing on your social media platforms and right now it feels messy and not cohesive.
You wished you had more followers.
You post but feel like you’re not getting anywhere.
What about having pricing on Instagram? Is that in poor taste?
You feel like social media is such a time sink but you feel like you should be using it. Even if you’ve been making work and posting about it for a while, I’ll show you how to use Instagram and Facebook in the most effective and strategic ways. You’ll have a real plan that you can easily put to use, again and again, so you can promote your work and your upcoming show or open studio. You’ll feel confident to use social media to help you build your art career, sell more work and build a meaningful community centered around your work. You’ll
start to feel excited to post and share your art because it is so much easier with a real plan that’s designed for results.
Imagine how great it will feel to actually have a system for using Instagram and Facebook to fill your opening with potential buyers.
When you’ve completed this workshop, you’ll feel prepared and ready to incorporate social media as a tool to grow your art career. It’s going to be great!

You’ll learn:
- How to make the most of Instagram and Facebook.
- Why social media is important for your art career.
- How to engage with your audience in meaningful and authentic ways.
- How often to post.
- If you should post prices.
- How to get followers even if you don’t have that many right now.
You’ll leave with the knowledge of how to start using social media to sell your work and build your community. You’ll understand the details of what you need to know and do without getting bogged down by all of the options that are out there.
You’ll have the same social media promotions plan that has helped my clients get collectors to see and buy their art in conjunction with their openings. It’s prioritized so you always know what’s most important to do next. When you use this, you’ll be able to get back to making art instead of spending too much time promoting it.
This workshop will be the cliff notes you need to start seeing social media results.

You’re welcome to bring your lunch to the workshop. And, feel free to bring your laptop or iPad to take notes and access your new social media tools electronically during the workshop.
